New Booklet: Handling Conflict God’s Way
Conflict is something every believer faces.
It shows up in homes, marriages, friendships, churches, workplaces, and everyday conversations. Sometimes it is loud and obvious. Other times it is quiet, hidden, and left unresolved. But whether conflict is open or subtle, Scripture teaches us that conflict is never merely something “out there.” God’s Word presses deeper and teaches us to examine the heart.
That is the burden behind my new booklet, Handling Conflict God’s Way: A Biblical Guide to Wisdom, the Heart, and Peacemaking (James 3:13–4:3).
This booklet is the next release in the “God’s Way” series, a series of short biblical resources written to help believers apply the sufficient Word of God to the real struggles of life. The first booklet, Overcoming Anxiety God’s Way, focused on Philippians 4:4–9 and the peace God gives through His Word. This new booklet turns to James 3:13–4:3 and considers what Scripture teaches about conflict, wisdom, selfish desires, and peace.
Conflict Begins in the Heart
James asks one of the most searching questions in the Bible:
“What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you?”
James 4:1
That question does not let us stay on the surface.
We often want to blame our circumstances, our pressures, our personalities, or the other person. And, of course, other people really can sin against us. Circumstances really can be hard. Words really can wound. But James does not allow us to explain conflict only by looking around us. He teaches us to look within.
The real war in conflict is not first around us. It is within us.
That is why biblical peacemaking must be more than learning a few communication tricks. It must deal honestly with the desires, motives, pride, envy, selfish ambition, and worldly wisdom that often rule the heart.
Wisdom from Above
James also shows us that there are two kinds of wisdom. There is a wisdom that is “earthly, unspiritual, demonic” (James 3:15), and there is wisdom that comes from above.
James 3:17 says:
“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.”
That is the kind of wisdom we desperately need in our homes, churches, and relationships. We do not need merely to win arguments. We need to walk in humility before God. We need to repent where we have sinned. We need to pursue peace without compromising truth. We need wisdom from above.
A Short Biblical Resource
Handling Conflict God’s Way was written to be short, biblical, and useful. It is not meant to be a long academic treatment of conflict. It is meant to be a practical booklet that can be read, shared, and placed into the hands of someone who needs help thinking biblically about conflict.

Conflict is not something we handle faithfully by instinct. We need the Word of God. We need humility. We need repentance. We need grace. We need the wisdom that comes from above.
